General terms of use

If you wish to use images from the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) Image Bank, you have to comply with a number of conditions. By making use of to the TU/e Image Bank, you automatically indicate compliance with the conditions as mentioned and explained below.

Obligatory reference photographer

When publishing images from the TU/e Image Bank, the photographer of the image has to be referenced to. The photographer is named under the 'Source' label on the image page. 

No reputation damage

The TU/e organization and the subjects of the portraits are not to sustain reputation damage in any way due to the publication of images. Please read more information on portrait rights.

Usage of images by third parties

Images from the TU/e Image Bank may be published in the communication resources of non-TU/e employees, but only in the context of profiling the TU/e. The publishing of images from the TU/e Image Bank may in no case be unrelated to the TU/e.

Images may not be altered

Images may not be altered in terms of color and/or subject. Images may only be cropped to shape in reasonable proportions, for instance regarding set formats of communication resources of the TU/e. 

Images for the profiling of Eindhoven University of Technology

Images from the TU/e Image Bank may not be used for private purposes. Images from the TU/e Image Bank may be used for promotional usage, such as printing, websites, video productions and PowerPoint presentations, when relating to the TU/e or for profiling purposes.

The maximum format for images from the TU/e Image Bank is A4 size

Images in the TU/e Image Bank are free to use in A4 format (maximum). Please contact our administrator for more information.

Employees are responsible for contracted designers

If TU/e employees ask designers to use images from the TU/e Image Bank in forthcoming resources, the employees are responsible for ensuring the designers comply with these Terms of Use.
